This restaurant is an easily must GO. Food is extremely delicious. My favorite pizza was Parma and Arugula definitely brought me memories from my Italy trip. Emily and Carlos were incredible kind and helpful. 100% recommendable.

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant on Saturday night while celebrating a birthday. The service was extremely poor from the start. It took over an hour to receive our appetizers, and some of them were incorrect. A salad we ordered as an appetizer for my vegetarian cousin never arrived. We reminded our server several times, but after waiting another 15 minutes, we canceled it since we had already finished the other appetizers and were ready for our entrées. Shortly after ordering our main dishes, the salad finally arrived. When we told the server we had already canceled it, he took it away and angrily threw it in the trash right in front of us. Considering the delay was not our fault, this behavior was completely unprofessional. When we ordered a bottle of wine, another server named Emily came to our table. We explained the situation and asked if it would be possible to switch servers. We were honestly ready to leave if things continued the same way. Emily was very understanding and took over our table. Absolutely amazing experience, worthwhile of every cent and the long travel to come here. Dino and Emily treated us (a group of 7) almost like family, extremely attentive, friendly and respectful people committed to serve. The food was above and beyond, we all had different pizzas and none disappointed, really tasteful not to plastic or artificial flavors but high end quality. The main two most beautiful things about the atmosphere of this place was the impeccable classic music taste and gentle lighting, but the tables and the arrangements of the place are also on point. I came here to celebrate my son's wedding dinner. The table was set up so beautifully and so elegant. The food was delicious and more than abundant. The service was absolutely fabulous. Emily took care of everything, from the way the table was decorated to the impeccable service. When I first heard the restaurant was in astoria, I thought I would never be able to park. However, there is a parking lot about three shops down and the restaurant stamps your ticket for free parking!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant. Don't be fooled by the name, brick oven pizza. It is a charming full service, full menu, delicious restaurant.

We hosted a surprise 70th birthday celebration at Basil Brick Oven, and I’m truly thankful for how special the evening turned out. Ugo, the owner was personally involved in every detail, from menu choices to décor, and even rearranged tables and benches to create a dance floor, which meant so much to us. The team (Carlos, Emilia, tall guy with beard - forgot his name) helped us decorate before the event and took such genuine care of our guests throughout the night. They were dancing while serving, which was a very positive addition to the event. Every dish was delicious, the wine selection and open bar were excellent, and the atmosphere felt warm and connected. I received tons of positive messages from the guests after the event how wonderful event went. An amazing place for private events and meaningful celebration highly recommended.
